Hello Everyone

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Hello, my name is Shelly and I have taken over the writing for Wax and Bubbles. I am the owner of BeeSpa Naturals and am also a homeopathic naturalist. I am going to share with you most everything I know about making your own candles as well as soaps and lotions. I will attempt to also keep you in the know about the newest products out on the market that fall under this category as well. I hope you will have fun reading and making the products that I share with you on this site, as much as I am going to have fun posting them for you. Leave me a comment or two on the postings and let me know how the products worked for you.

And the Winner Is …

Monday, June 25th, 2007

The “Wax and Bubbles Needs a Tag Line” contest is now over, and there were some really fun suggestions! I want to thank everyone who posted a tag line - you’re all really creative!

It didn’t take too long, however, to choose the winner. One of the suggested tag lines just clicked, and it’s perfect for this blog. That tag line is …

Wax & Bubbles: Your guide to wicks and washes.

It’s simple, it explains that the blog is about making soap and candles, and it goes really well with the title of the blog. Congratulations Matt! I’ll be in touch with you to get your mailing address so I can send your prize out.

Honourable mentions go to:

  • Cloudy for Wax & Bubbles: For glorious glows and sensual soaks.
  • Terra for wax on, wash off.
  • Stacy for Wax & Bubbles: Giving you the tips to home grown serenity through the magic of candles and soaps.

Thanks again everyone! Watch this space for our spiffy new banner that’ll include Matt’s catchy tag line.

Wax & Bubbles Needs a Tag Line Contest!

Monday, June 18th, 2007

In your travels around the 451Press blogs, you may have noticed some spiffy new banners on some of the sites. Well, Wax & Bubbles doesn’t want to be left out of the new graphics action! While the banner is under construction, I need some help in coming up with a suitable tag line for the blog.

That’s where the contest comes in! Leave your suggestions for a great tag line in the comments of this post. I’ll pick my favourite next Monday, June 25th, and the winning author will receive a bottle of Shower Shock caffeinated shower gel. Please keep the tag lines clean (no pun intended) and related to the subject matter of the blog - making candles and soap.

The contest is open to anyone, anywhere, unless prohibited in your state or province of residence. The prize will be mailed directly from yours truly, so the winner will be contacted by e-mail so I can get his or her mailing address. That means that you must provide a valid e-mail address in the appropriate box when leaving your entry in the comments section. Don’t worry, no one else will be able to see it! Enter as many times as you wish.

Good luck!
