Just as with hypnosis, autohemotherapy is another alternative therapy that is used to help the body heal. It is much more common in Europe than in the United States and its main gold is to enhance the immune system to help it fight disease. With this procedure comes a small amount of blood that is taken from a vein within the body and then is mixed with a natural remedy then reinjected back into the patients muscle mass, sometimes through the skin or even through other muscles mass areas within the body. This in turn is suppose to help the blood retain its normal component of hormone levels, antibodies, minerals and salts as well.
Practioners of these therapy believe that reintroduction of the blood strengthens the immunity within one’s own body, which in turn helps combat disease. This technique is often preformed to help treat gout, liver disease, diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis.
The main effect is the practioner is reintroducing the body with a foreign body and the blood reset the immune system by seeking out this foreign body and helps fight it off which helps rid the body of harmful substance that can eventually trigger and infection, allergies, and other disease and disorders as well.
The side effects to this treatment are, fever, fatigue, and depression may occur, but parishioners of this procedure state this is only the body’s way of fighting off the foreign bodies and the immune system is getting stronger during this time.
