Even though Wax and Bubbles is geared mainly toward the human suds, your pets coat is an important factor in the bubble world as well. There are many products out on the market that help keep coats of cats and dogs and other animals looking great, but here are a few that go that extra mile.

• DeFlea Ready to Use Shampoo ($6.49-$9.89)

Contains Dioctyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate (a common food additive) and Undeclyenic Acid (a derivative from the castor bean) to safely and effectively kill fleas, mites, ticks and lice on contact. The natural ingredients soften the waxy exoskeleton until the internal organs are saturated and the insect quickly dies. The gentle, yet powerful formulas work for all stages of an insect’s life. Safe for use on all dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, even nursing animals. They can be used with other flea control products. Relieves skin irritation and flea-bite dermatitis.

• Bark + Bath: Natural Dog Shampoo ($16.99)

Bark + Bath Dog Shampoo is unique since it is made with natural liquid soap. Natural liquid soap does not dry the skin since it retains its natural glycerin (removed from commercial soaps for use in other products, and not found at all in detergent based dog shampoo).

Dog Shampoo Ingredients: Natural liquid soap base (Deionized Water, Heliantus Annus (Sunflower Oil), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Potassium Hydroxide,Citric Acid), Lavender (Lavendula Angustifolia), Lemongrass (Cymbopogon Citratus), Peppermint (Mentha Piperita), Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis), Clove (Eugenia caryophyllata), or Cedarwood (Juniperus Mexicana), Preservative mixture at less than 1% (Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Menthylparaben, Propylparaben), Jojoba oil.

• West Coast Pet Supply: Avo Derm Dog Shampoo ($7.99)

AvoDerm skin and coat shampoo for dogs and cats is a penetrating therapeutic shampoo formulated to help relieve scratching and itching caused by dry skin. AvoDerm skin and coat shampoo is formulated with real avocado oil, nature’s own remedy for dry irritated skin. AvoDerm shampoo helps renew the oils your dog’s coat needs to stay shiny and healthy year-round.
