Make feet happy with your own handmade foot care products

Your feet tell you everyday that they are over-worked and tired, but who wants to spend hundreds of dollars at a local pedicurist getting what you could make up for a lot less in your own home. These recipes are really simple and will make your feet feel absolutely amazing.

• Pumice Foot Scrub

1 tbs. ground pumice powder (if you take and all-natural pumice stone from the local health food store and hit it with a hammer in a bag a few times you will get pumice powder)
2 tbs. sour cream
2 tbs. butter

Mix all three ingredients together to form a paste. Rub the paste all over your feet being careful not to rub too hard on the tops of the feet where the skin is more sensitive. Rinse the feet with luke warm water and pat dry. You can use this mixture as many times in a week as you please and store in the refrigerator.

• Foot Mask

2 tsp. chopped fresh mint leaves
2 tbs. fresh pineapple juice or orange juice
1 tsp. chopped fresh basil leaves
2 tsp. chopped fresh rosemary leaves
2 tbs. plain yogurt or Greek yogurt

Place the ingredients into a food processor and mix until well blended. To use, spread on the feet and massage it in well. Playing attention to rough areas of the foot and then wrap your foot in plastic warp and cover with a heavy cotton sock. Leave on feet for about 20 minutes then rinse with luke warm water and pat dry.

These recipes are great ways to get your feet smelling and feeling like new. These recipes are simple and utilize the simplest ingredients available.
