Mix your own RX at Home (Post 3)
• For fatigue use molasses: Dissolve 2 tbsp. of molasses in 1/2 cup of soy milk and drink daily. Molasses have a good source of iron, calcium and other minerals that can help give you that pep that you need to get through without being tired.
• For coughs use mustard: No really. Mustard can help loosen congestion and also help reduce the inflammation associated with the dry cough. Combine 2 tbs. of ground mustard with 1 cup of flour. Add a bit of warm water to a paste and spread over a piece of cheese cloth. Apply olive oil to the chest and place the mustard cloth to the chest. Put a warm towel over the sloth and keep in place for about 20 minutes.
• For sadness use cinnamon: Place a stick of cinnamon in a sauce pan of 1 cup of boiling water and steep for about 10 minutes. Drink daily if desired.
• For sinusitis use oregano, thyme and even rosemary: Add 3 tbs. of each herb to three cups boiling water. Once the water has begun to boil, remove from the stove and pour into a large boil. Cover your head with a towel and place your face over the bowl and inhale the aroma with your head covered the entire time. Hold there for about 20 minutes.
These are just suggestions to create your own natural remedies with what is in your own home currently. If any of your symptoms get worse or happen to be something that can’t be controlled with common household remedies then seek professional advice or a doctors help.
